What happened, the Sunny coast turned into a rainy coast. It has been raining for three weeks now! Luckily we got our pool renovation ready, since the rainy and somewhat chilly weather has forced our guests to enjoy activities at the Villa. Luckily all our apartments are heated by the air conditioning units as well as with central heating if the AC’s don’t provide enough heat.
The heated pool is great, and it has been in daily use with our guests. Now that the olive trees are also trimmed, you can see the Mediterranean from the pool lounge and enjoy the view as it was summer. Just tune your favorite music through the Bluetooth speaker and despite the weather you have your oasis by the pool with a sea view. It is also great to do yoga or other exercises in the heat of the pool lounge.
Our small library has also been in good use now. We have books in various languages, books for children and games and puzzles for all ages. So even if your first thought about a vacation in Frigiliana may not have been doing puzzles, it can be relaxing and enjoyable while waiting for the rain to stop.
When the rain pauses and the sun comes out, it is warm again and you can see nature flourish and the flowers blooming. There have been some great contrasts in the scenery with dark clouds and sunny skies and of course rainbows.
February – March is a busy carnival time with a lot of happenings here in Frigiliana as well as in Nerja. The Dia del Andalucia was full of music and good food. Great time to visit us if you want to get a good feeling of Spanish fiestas!
Now that the water reserves have been filled by the rain, which is good, we are ready for a hot spring and summer. Hopefully spring is now turning to more normal with warmer nights and clear blue sky!
